Over the past three months, furniture company Booho Chair One’s products were selected and won awards at Good Design Awards, PINUP Design Awards, K-Design Awards, such as the conference/lecture table F.A.T10 Series, workstation T Series, and M-TABLET.
A company official says, “based on the experience of producing chair parts, the high quality of the products, the continuous exports to international markets, and the design-based management, ‘bestuhl’ as a chair brand was successfully launched in 2011. Instead of just being satisfied with this, we promoted various activities to grow the company as a furniture company; and as a result, we recently won awards in various contests. This is the result of endeavoring to create working environment in bestuhl’s own way, instead of sticking with the chair market.”
The conference/lecture table F.A.T10 Series, which has new features that are different from existing products, such as the portable holder for electronic device and wire management for storage and folding functions, was selected at the Good Design Awards, and won the Best of 100 at the PINUP Design Awards and the Grand Prize at the K-Design Awards – the three domestic design awards in South Korea. Especially as the K-Design Awards is one of the three design awards in Asia along with the Design for Asia Awards and Golden Pin Design Awards, the Grand Prize demonstrates bestuhl’s competence in not only chair products but also office furniture design.
Bestuhl’s first office system furniture solution T Series was developed with a focus on the layout of shared office that has recently attracted much attention. The improvement of flexible seat change and rearrangement per occupation and task received a favorable evaluation at the PINUP Design Awards and the product won the Best of 100. Moreover, M-TABLET shows a bright and clean image of a one-person table beyond the image of the formal lecture chair, which was selected at the Good Design Awards and won the Best of 100 at the PINUP Design Awards.
A staff member of bestuhl shares, “we plan to produce office furniture for expanding the business and brand ‘bestuhl’ that appears somewhat still new, instead of merely being satisfied with the present.”
