< A study type of plot series is good to use in the educational space >
A chair is the piece of furniture that is closest to the human body. Among them, the office chair can be said to be the smallest space that modern people depend on the most in a day. As much as that, office furniture has been focused on functions, and in the process, it is sometimes neglected by consumers due to its poor design. Bestuhl paid attention to these issues and entered the office furniture market in 1994 with the motto of ‘a design-oriented furniture brand’. Since then, it has grown into a professional furniture company through continuous growth, Since 2015, it has been realizing corporate value by delivering the news of winning domestic and international design awards every year. This year, the new 2021 office chair PLOT series and lobby chair L10 series were selected as winners of the reddot Design Award, Proving once again their outstanding design skills.
PLOT Series
The first impression of the plot series is fresh and soft. The overall finish line forms a curve and the straight elements combine to make it concise. Study type equipped with a folding tablet for books or laptops, there are 4 leg type and swivel type depending on the shape of the leg. The study type is a model suitable for use in education or lecture environments, the tablet has a mobile device holder and cup holder separately. At the bottom, there is a tray for storing luggage, and the meticulous design that considers the user stands out. The 4-leg type can be stacked and stored efficiently, the swivel type can freely change direction according to the user’s movement.
L10 Series
The L10 series is a lobby chair with a simple design that can give a neat impression to crowded spaces such as libraries and hospitals with many visitors. The sensuous V-line leg is lightweight and strong by applying AL die-casting material using aluminum. Depending on the purpose, you can choose whether to have armrests or not, or it can be configured as a stool-type bench, the stool type ensures a comfortable distance between users by omitting the backrest and securing a wider seat area. Considering the role of design in the era of COVID-19 is also evident in that eco-friendly artificial leather material with antibacterial properties is used. A black and white frame with a seat made of 3 types of artificial leather and 3 types of fabric, it can be beautifully created according to the atmosphere of each space.

Both series were developed with the main theme of ‘newness out of the old custom’.
Plot is a product that reflects the changes in today’s education field. In line with the changed educational environment, such as experiential learning and group discussions, the user’s convenience was considered, it is designed to be applicable to all educational methods from one-way to two-way and multi-directional communication. The L10 series also tried to break away from the heavy image of the existing waiting chair. The waiting chair uses durable materials as it is difficult to change the product frequently, the natural and simple design allows it to harmonize with the space.
